Alright guys, let's talk about how to rock the Air Jordan 1's. Personally, I think the Air Jordan 1's are one of the best sneakers to wear with jeans. Like many of you, I've had a long time love affair with these shoes. And like many people, I couldn't afford them as a kid when they first came out so I didn't really get my first pair until I was an adult. But you better believe once I became an adult and could afford them I began to go back and collect them. What I think makes me different than other collectors is I don't care about the rarity of the colorways that I'm getting. I have many general release pairs just because I like the silouhette.
That's what I want to encourage you to do; grab what you want because you like them and not what other people say you should have. That's what a true sneaker lover does. What I mainly want to talk about is that because of the simplicity of the Air Jordan 1, you can pair it with jeans and I'm going to show you how to do that with the different colorways.
LOOK #1: Air Jordan 1 | Breds | Black and red colorway
The black and red colorway is no doubt the most iconic colorway of the Air Jordan 1's. Sneakerheads call them "Breds." I love these because the black and red with the pop of a white sole make it easy for you to match with so many different outfits.
As I was saying earlier, these are one of the best hightop sneakers to pair with jeans. What you want to be careful of is that when you wear such an eye catching shoe such as the Air Jordan 1, you should keep your outfit simple. Let the shoe be the focal point. As you can see in the picture I paired mine with a medium wash jean and a simple black top. Also be careful to take note that when you're wearing a high top sneaker, wear slim jeans. Baggy jeans swallow up the shoe and throw off the whole silouhette..
LOOK #2: Air Jordan 1 | Black and yellow
As I mentioned earlier, when you have an eye catching shoe, keep the rest of your outfit simple. You can see I paired these yellow and black Jordan 1's with some slim fit grey jeans and a simple grey v-neck sweater. The great thing about grey is because it is such a neutral color, it blends well with the pop of the black and yellow in the shoe. Once again, you can see the silouhette of this sneaker pairs well with slim fit jeans.
LOOK #3: Jordan Air 1's | Black, white, and green
The last pair I want to share today are the clover, white and black Air Jodan 1's that came in the pack with the Breds in 2009. I love these paired with another blue slim fit pair of denim jeans and a basic white shirt. These allow the sneakers to really stand out.
